Migration from 1Password

Migrating from 1Password to Passwd is straightforward. This guide will walk you through the process step by step.

Export from 1Password

1. Log in to your 1Password account.
2. Go to File → Export → All Items (or select specific vaults).
3. Choose 1Password CSV as the file format.
4. Enter your 1Password account password to confirm.
5. Save the exported CSV file.
6. Store your CSV file carefully, as it contains unencrypted passwords.

Import to Passwd

1. Click on Export and import in the left menu.
2. In section Import of records, select your exported 1Password CSV file.
3. Select Importing from: 1Password.
4. Tick the checkbox if you want to replace existing records.
5. Give Passwd a couple of minutes to process your data.

Important Notes

• Only Passwd administrators can use the import feature.
• Make sure to verify your imported records after the migration.
• The 2FA codes are not migrated. You will have to set 2FA again.
• Consider changing your passwords after migration as a security best practice.
• The 1Password CSV export is unencrypted, so handle it with care and delete it after successful migration.
