Migrating from LastPass to Passwd is straightforward. This guide will walk you through the process step by step.
Export from LastPass
- Log in to your LastPass account.
- Go to Advanced Options → Export.
- Enter your LastPass master password to confirm.
- Your data will be exported as a CSV file.
- Store your CSV file carefully, as it contains unencrypted passwords.
Import to Passwd
- Click on Export and import in the left menu.
- In section Import of records, select your exported LastPass CSV file.
- Select Importing from: LastPass.
- Tick the checkbox if you want to replace existing records.
- Give Passwd a couple of minutes to process your data.
Important Notes
- Only Passwd administrators can use the import feature.
- Make sure to verify your imported records after the migration.
- The 2FA codes are not migrated. You will have to set 2FA again.
- Consider changing your passwords after migration as a security best practice.
- The LastPass CSV export is unencrypted, so handle it with care and delete it after successful migration.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues during import:
- Ensure your CSV file is properly formatted.
