Migration from RoboForm

Migrating from RoboForm to Passwd is straightforward. This guide will walk you through the process step by step.

Export from RoboForm

1. Log in to your RoboForm account.
2. Go to Tools → Export Data.
3. Select CSV as the export format.
4. Choose which folders or items to export.
5. Enter your master password to confirm.
6. Click Export.
7. Your data will be exported as a CSV file.
8. Store your CSV file carefully, as it contains unencrypted passwords.

Import to Passwd

1. You have to manually map the the fields from RoboForm export to Passwd file format. You can find the specification in import documentation
2. Click on Export and import in the left menu.
3. In section Import of records, select your exported RoboForm CSV file.
4. Tick the checkbox if you want to replace existing records.
5. Give Passwd a couple of minutes to process your data.

Important Notes

• Only Passwd administrators can use the import feature.
• Make sure to verify your imported records after the migration.
• The 2FA codes are not migrated. You will have to set 2FA again.
• Consider changing your passwords after migration as a security best practice.
• The RoboForm CSV export is unencrypted, so handle it with care and delete it after successful migration.
